We’re glad you're considering using our facilities! Our spaces are functional and great for community events, family celebrations, and gatherings that reflect values of care, connection, and hospitality.

What kind of events can be held here?

Hillcrest Baptist Church is a Christian faith community, and we’re committed to using our building in ways that reflect our values.

Great for:

  • Family celebrations and community gatherings

  • Educational or training workshops

  • Sports, games, or shared meals

  • Christian ministry-related events

Please note:

  • We do not book out the church on Sundays. We reserve this for our own gatherings

  • We are not able to host gatherings with religious or spiritual elements outside of our Christian faith

  • Our facilities and property are strictly alcohol-free and smoke/vape-free

  • All bookings are subject to approval

Our Spaces

We offer a range of flexible spaces to suit different event types:

  • Auditorium (currently unavailable for bookings) – Spacious, with a two-tiered platform and two projector screens. Ideal for presentations, services, or larger gatherings.

  • Hall – Open and adaptable space adjoining the kitchen with a projector (compatible with VGA, or HDMI) and basic speaker system (compatible with Aux). Great for games, group meals, or active use.

  • Lounge – Comfortable and casual space adjoining the main kitchen. Perfect for small groups, training sessions, relaxed meals, or meetings.

  • Kitchen – Fully equipped for preparing and serving food. Has a Zip hot water unit, steriliser-dishwasher and two servery windows, one to the Lounge and one to the Hall. Fee varies based on your needs.

  • Crèche / Multipurpose Room – A smaller, carpeted space with couches—suitable for prayer meetings, parent groups, informal gatherings or as a breakout room.

Booking Process

  1. Submit your request - Use the booking form below to share your event details.

  2. We’ll review availability - We’ll check if the space is available and suitable for your event.

  3. Approval and next steps - If approved, we’ll email you with the forms to sign, any hire fee/bond details, and further information to confirm your booking. Feel free to ask any questions at this stage.

  4. Confirmation - Your booking is confirmed once forms are signed and any deposit is received.

  5. Pre-event walkthrough - At an agreed time on the week of your event, a staff member will meet you for a walkthrough of the space and to provide a key and alarm code.

  6. Event day - Please enjoy your event and take care of the space, following the hire guidelines.

  7. Following the event - Return the key as arranged and let us know how everything went.

    Note that we have very limited availability due to regular church services, events, and the capacity of our admin and cleaning staff. We'll do our best to accommodate your event, but availability is not guaranteed.
